Encourage your students to save (e-mail themselves) a list of their homework receipts. It's uncommon, but once every couple years a student will claim to have done homework, only to notice later their completed assignment went unrecorded. These missing, attempted problems can theoretically be tracked down using the receipts upon problem completion.
